BIS Revised HUID Rates

The hallmarking charges for gold articles have been revised with effect from 14 September 2026. Under the revised rate structure, the minimum charge for a consignment is ₹200 + applicable GST, while for consignments of more than two articles, the charge is ₹75 + applicable GST per article.

The revised charges apply to the HUID hallmarking process carried out through BIS-recognised Assaying & Hallmarking Centres (AHCs). The applicable charges are based on the number of articles and not on the weight of the jewellery.
